Evernote Launches Trunk and Other Products

15 07 2010

Earlier today, Evernote’s CEO Phil Lubin unveiled Trunk, a new series of products, services, and hardware that will be implemented into Everrnote at a special event in San Francisco. The new Trunk would allow Evernote users to expand their experiences to more services and more with things like Voice Transcription, PDF annotation, and business card scanning. There will be over 100 items to launch with Trunk, including being able to send video streams to Evernote accounts.

Evernote is an online service that allows you to take notes, pictures, webclips, and more and share them through their database on various computers, devices, and etc.

Another area Lubin was excited to share about Evernote adding to was games. They’re working on memory and brain training games currently, and hope to integrate them into the new Trunk services and such.

And best of all, it’s all free! (Orig)

New MacBook Air Likely To Come This Year

15 07 2010

It’s been a couple of years since the MacBook Air received its last major update. And the 2009 update was a minimal one. A processor and battery increase, by a slim margin.

It’s being rumored that the new MacBook Air update is expected  a bit more serious this time. Still the prototype for all computer manufacturers for the most portable laptop, the MacBook Air will probably drop in screen size, from 13.3″ to 11.6″; the processor is expected to be increased into a low-voltage core processor, possibly an i3, which would boasts the battery life and power consumption even more; the GPU and SSD both are probably going to see an increase in strength and capacity, respectively.

Hopefully this will go better for them than their last iPhone update.

iOS 4.1 Beta Released, Fails To Fix Death Grip

15 07 2010

Although it’s just a BETA and has not been released to all iPhone 4 owners, just developers, the iOS 4.1 update is not a success, nor will it be for Apple.

The Death Grip, when applied to the iPhone 4, will cut the signal bars back down to a single bar still. But the bars were made larger, so at least you can see it drop the signal better than before when applying the Death Grip.

And there was one thing that Apple managed to actually improve upon in their update. The Game Center’s skin was redesigned for a new, sleeker look and feel. Now if only the iPhone 4 was patched up with a new, working look and feel too.

Check out the complete and utter faildate below.

HTC Aria Gets Sync Update For Non-Market Apps

13 07 2010

Surprisingly, the HTC Aria is getting a HTC Sync update which would allow for Third-Party .APK files to be installed on them. For all of AT&T Android smart phones, there is a lock provided by AT&T to keep users from installing third-party apps and keep their pre-installed ones on there mandatory. There is no time-table on this update’s availability, as word is that AT&T could make a move to stop and remove the update from existence. So if you have a HTC Aria at the moment, go ahead and get that update before it’s too late! (via BGR )

HTC Evo 4G, HTC Incredible Getting Android 2.2 by December

12 07 2010

Two of the most popular Android devices in America now, the HTC Incredible and HTC Evo 4G, will be getting the Froyo update by December. Coming from Eric Lin, HTC’s global PR manager, they have to make sure all the apps like HTC Sense, etc., get sent over correctly and they avoid issues like they did on the update for the Evo 4G a few weeks ago. Consumers should not complain honestly. Considering the last Evo 4G update bricked quite a few phones, the company needs to make sure it’s done right this time.

“It takes time to port all of our applications over to Froyo and then make sure that it is running well on each of our devices. That’s not like a one week kind of project. We need to make sure that our applications are taking advantage of the Froyo features. To make sure that they’re all running properly on the OS now that it’s a new version. And then to make sure that it’s running on our hardware as well as we expect.”
