Motorola Droid Getting Android 2.2, Froyo Update

5 06 2010

After reading this on NeverKnowTech.com, I thought I should share the information. Motorola has officially announced that the Motorola Droid will be the second Android phone to get the Android 2.2 aka “Froyo” update. If you subscribe to Motorola Forums, they will state their release date on their pages as soon as they decide on one. Granted I’m not completely blown by “Froyo” based on issues I’ve heard it having with flash initially, and the fact the Samsung Moment isn’t getting the update(yet?) —  boo  — , it’s still cool for us Android Fans and owners that Google/Android is surprisingly updating the devices as often as they are. More to come once I know it.

Enjoy!
